Bolstering Education and Awareness to Bring Resilient Infrastructure to All

As climate threats and extreme weather grow more acute and America’s infrastructure and energy systems show their age,  the number one barrier for communities to take climate action is access to affordable financing. A novel civic-tech approach, Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE), was designed to meet today’s climate challenges and democratize clean, renewable energy and resilient infrastructure for all.

The PACE model, a cornerstone of the Obama Administration’s Clean Energy For All Initiative, is helping property owners increase their home equity with upgrades like solar, energy and water efficiency, seismic retrofitting, and extreme weather protection.

Ygrene, an early PACE pioneer and national leader, has shown communities across the United States how PACE is a bipartisan initiative, because of the overwhelming community benefits.
