Enabling the Future of Movement

Eviation’s debut of its 9-passenger all-electric Alice aircraft in June 2019 was widely viewed as a highlight of the Paris Air Show.

With a range of more than 500 miles (1,000 km), the Alice is contributing to a shift in the way people move regionally. In addition to its zero carbon footprint, regional air travel via smaller aircraft is more comfortable and convenient than what most people are used to: Large, crowded airports with long lines and security checkpoints. Electric airplanes compete with petroleum-fueled planes on all of the highest cost factors, including fuel and maintenance, while lowering air carriers’ operating expenses by up to 70 percent. With decreasing costs of batteries and the elimination of fuel price volatility, tickets to commute via Alice aim to reduce the cost of flying from a five-digit figure to the price of a bus ticket, increasing access to affordable and sustainable air transit for consumers. Eviation’s first commercial customer is Cape Air, and the company is working with a pipeline of other carriers.
